Cadet donation boosts Food Bank

01.04.2019

It’s Army Cadet Force Community Week this week (1-7 April), which is a great chance for ACF units to get involved and make a difference in their local communities.

The Kirkton and St Marys Black Watch detachments of Angus and Dundee Battalion ACF got involved with a collection for Dundee’s Food Bank.

The detachment managed to collect an amazing total of 114.2kgs in food. This is enough to feed 14 adults for three days with an emergency food parcel.

Selfless commitment and creating the next generation of good citizens is at the heart of what the ACF is all about and the cadets from St Marys are a great example of that.

Well done to all involved and many thanks to Leeanne Wilkinson, detachment commander at St Marys, for sending us the picture.
