A fond farewell for Ross Company

07.03.2019

Last weekend saw cadets from 1st Battalion the Highlander’s Ross Company bid farewell to one of their dedicated adults.

The company said their final goodbyes to their Cadet Administrative Assistant, Captain Neil Munro (64), who is retiring this month after almost twenty-one years of service with the Army Cadets.

For the past two decades Neil has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that their six detachments– covering an area of over 120 miles – are properly maintained for Detachment Training.

Neil’s last event with Ross Company was their Company Training Weekend, held last weekend at Dingwall. On the Sunday evening the Company presented Neil with an engraved decanter and glass set as a thank you for his Service.

Capt Munro will be missed a great deal and we thank him for his invaluable service as a CAA and wish him a long and happy retirement.
