Cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers from Vittoria Company of 2nd Battalion The Highlanders Army Cadet Force assisted the organisers of Aberdeen Mela – One World Day (OWD).
Aberdeen Mela – OWD is an annual celebration of cultural diversity throughout Aberdeen city, shire and beyond. The one-day festival on 1 September featured performers from Asian and other ethnic communities and a wide range of stalls offering food, crafts and clothes.

Over the weekend, the cadets set up stands and gazebos for stall holders, acted as parking stewards, moved barriers and picked up litter. They even found time to pose for the odd photograph. Then at 6pm on the Sunday they started dismantling everything again. All with a smile!
