2nd Battalion The Highlanders Army Cadet Force (ACF) was delighted to announce the promotion of one of its long-serving Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV).
On 27 September, at the start of the Corunna Company training weekend, Fraserburgh Detachment Commander, Sergeant Instructor Gordon Munro, was promoted to Colour Sergeant by Battalion Commandant Colonel Sean Fraser (pictured above with Colonel Fraser, right).
Colour Sergeant Munro joined the ACF in November 2016, following a 14-year career in the Army, during which he served with 1st Battalion The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons) and later 4th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
His promotion comes after successfully completing the Adult Leadership and Management course at the Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park. This course is designed for Adult Volunteers who aspire to more senior responsibilities.
Congratulations to Colour Sergeant Munro on this achievement and his continued dedication to the Battalion’s Cadets.
