Quadruple signing at RAF Lossiemouth

Moray Business Women, Outfit Moray, The Gordon Lennox Estate Company Ltd, and The Walled Garden Trading Company Limited all signed the Armed Forces Covenant and received their Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Awards at RAF Lossiemouth. 

Highland RFCA’s Regional Employer Engagement Director Ray Watt visited RAF Lossiemouth with representatives from local employers for the employer engagement event on 20 February.

RAF Lossiemouth is one of two RAF Quick Reaction Alert stations which protect UK airspace. It consists of four Typhoon combat aircraft Squadrons, three Poseidon MRA1 Squadrons, an RAF Regiment Squadron, and a Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment Reserve Squadron. RAF Lossiemouth personnel and aircraft also support operations worldwide and host numerous national and international exercises.

The visitors enjoyed refreshments upon arrival, after which RAF Lossiemouth’s Station Commander, Group Captain Sarah Brewin, welcomed the employers in the Officers’ Mess. Group Captain Brewin co-signed the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of Defence.

Moray Business Women is an award-winning club dedicated to empowering women in Moray and the surrounding areas. The organisation first signed the Armed Forces Covenant in January 2025 and achieved the ERS Bronze Award in February 2025. Events and Committee Support Volunteer Francis Grant, Events and Committee Support Volunteer Felicia Habia, Vice President and Charity Champion Claire Houston, and President Wendy Mitchell were in attendance.

Outfit Moray offers a range of outdoor learning and adventure activities. The company first signed the Covenant in August 2024 and achieved the ERS Bronze Award in September 2024. Trustee David Alldritt, Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary Tony Brown, and Trustee Ed Dunbar represented the company on the day. Outfit Moray also invited Covenant signatory and ERS Gold Award holder Moray Chamber’s Operations Manager, Aimee Walker, to attend.

The Gordon Lennox Estate Company runs the Gordon Castle and Walled Garden in the Spey Valley. The estate first signed the Covenant in September 2024 and achieved the ERS Bronze Award in January 2025. The Walled Garden Trading Company Limited first signed the Covenant in September 2024 and achieved ERS Bronze in February 2025. The estate’s Factor, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Tobias Christie, and the garden’s Managing Director and Co-Founder, Giles Lawson Johnston, attended the signing.

Following the Covenant and ERS Bronze Award presentations, the visitors and RAF Lossiemouth personnel networked during a lunch buffet.
