Highland RFCA Head of Engagement Michelle McKearnon had the honour of attending the Angus, Perthshire and Fife Festival of Remembrance concert in Dundee on 2 November.

The tri-Service event featured Service personnel, cadets and Veterans from across the area, who converged on the city’s Caird Hall to remember all those from the Armed Forces who have died serving the country.

Hosted by the Royal British Legion Scotland, the concert was attended by a 500-strong audience who were treated to a spectacular audio-visual performance from The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, vocals by Amy Hawthorn and Alan Brydon and the uplifting sounds of Perth and District Pipe Band.

Michelle was accompanied by Martine Coruble, President of Le Bleuet de France for the Seine Maritime area in Normandy. The charitable organisation is the French equivalent of the British Poppy Appeal. The Bleuet de France, or cornflower, is the French flower of Remembrance.

The concert is in support of Poppyscotland and helps raise much-needed funds for the Poppy appeals.
