Employers from the Highland RFCA area enjoyed an entertaining evening at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on 22 August.
The Highland guests joined others hosted by the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Associations (RFCA) of the Lowlands, the North of England, North West of England and Northern Ireland along with guests of London-based Defence Relationship Management (DRM).
The evening kicked off with a reception and buffet at the Radisson Blu Hotel’s Cannon Gate Suite on the Royal Mile before guests moved up to the Castle for the show.
The guests included Armed Forces Covenant signatories and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award holders Fife Medical Group, High Life Highland, Knockhill Racing Circuit; as well as Silver Award holders DLR Media, Fife College; and Bronze Award holders Andrew Black Design, ASCO UK Limited, Briggs Marine, Flotation Energy Ltd, G&A Barnie Group Ltd, Golden Friendships, Hydrasun Limited, Inverness Chamber of Commerce, Keela International, Raeburn Training, Spirit Energy, and Well-Safe Solutions Limited.
Representatives from Scottish Chambers of Commerce were also in attendance.
In a Royal Navy Lead Service year guests enjoyed the show themed Journeys, an homage to the seafarers that brave the oceans to travel between countries and continents. A cast of 800 performers took the audience on an exploration of travel, discovery, migration and adventure. They hailed from the UK, USA, Switzerland, India, Canada and Australia.
As well as the night for employers, HRFCA also hosted guests at two VIP nights on 10 and 15 August. All three evenings provided a great opportunity for Armed Forces-supporting employers and businesses to network.
The Tattoo returns in 2025, marking its 75th anniversary with the theme Heroes Who Made Us. It will run from 1 to 23 August.
