Army Cadets showcased their first aid expertise at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s Training and Safety Centre.
Teams from the Army Cadet Force (ACF) and Combined Cadet Force (CCF) battled it out across the Cadet and Young Adult categories on 16 November to establish the top first aid teams in the UK.
The day included a mix of team-based challenges and individual assessments, where communication, collaboration, and first aid skills were put to the ultimate test.
Teams from Dollar Academy CCF placed highly in several categories with 2nd Battalion The Highlanders ACF picking up second place in the Young Adult competition.
In the team test, participants navigated challenging scenarios involving simulated casualties, including injuries and illnesses. Each member also faced an individual assessment to demonstrate their ability to treat a casualty independently. The competition’s maximum High Point Score of 320 provided the benchmark for success.
