Lossiemouth Community Development Trust was presented with Armed Forces Covenant and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award certificates on 23 September.

Lossiemouth Community Development Trust was formed to represent and promote plans for residents and tourism in Lossiemouth by adopting a joint community approach towards improving facilities for the benefit of everyone in the community.
It first signed the Armed Forces Covenant in February 2025. By signing the Covenant, it became one of more than 13,000 organisations to pledge support to the Armed Forces community.
Its commitment to honouring the Covenant includes pledges to:
- Promote the fact it is an Armed Forces-friendly organisation.
- Support the employment of Veterans and Service leavers.
- Support the employment of Service spouses and partners.
- Support national events such as Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities.
The Trust also received the ERS Bronze Award. The ERS Awards encourage employers to support Defence and inspire others to do the same. The prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards are for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to Defence and the Armed Forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
A Trust spokesperson said: “The Lossiemouth Community Development Trust works for the benefit of everyone in our local community, and that includes all serving and Veteran personnel at RAF Lossiemouth and their families. Both our staff, and several of our trustees have links to the military, so we’re delighted that the Trust has been recognised with both the Armed Forces Covenant and the Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award.”
