Dundee’s Armed Forces Day celebrations on Saturday 27 June were a huge hit with the thousands of visitors who thronged the city centre.
Highland RFCA’s tent was one of many attractions which included a fast jet cockpit, rigid inflatable boat, weapons systems, vehicles, climbing wall, a colourful parade, field hospital construction, and music and entertainment.
All services and Cadet organisations were well represented with local interest in the shape of The Black Watch 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, 32 Signal Regiment, 225 (Scottish) Medical Regiment, and Angus and Dundee ACF.
The sun shone all day long and hundreds of interested spectators visited HRFCA where they found out about the organisation’s work with Reserve Forces and Cadets.
Other highlights included the parade of service personnel, Cadets and veterans which attracted a large and appreciative crowd.
Overall the day was a huge success and a great opportunity to pay tribute to Britain’s Armed Forces.
