Perthshire-based Binn Group has signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

The firm – which is Scotland’s leading recycling and resource management company – made the commitment to ensure those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

Fittingly, they made this commitment during #ArmedForcesWeek.

The signing took place at Binn’s headquarters at Binn Farm, Glenfarg, with General Manager Danny McAtear signing for the Group. Signing on behalf of Defence was Lt Col Simon Giles RM, currently Chief of Staff for the Royal Navy’s Naval Regional Commander for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

More than 6,000+ UK organisations have already shown their support by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

Signing up to the Covenant is straightforward and sets companies on the path to have their pledge recognised through the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

This scheme incorporates prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, granted in recognition of their pledge to support defence and the Armed Forces Community.
