AV8 Flight School has received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award.

Lt Col Sarah Johnson, the Commanding Officer of 154 (Scottish) Regiment RLC, presented the award to Jon Anderson, AV8 founder and CEO, in Dunfermline on 24 March (pictured).

The award is in recognition of the support the organisation gives to the Armed Forces.

AV8 previously signed the Armed Forces Covenant in January of this year. The Covenant is a commitment to ensure those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

The Covenant sets companies on the path to have their pledge recognised through the Employer Recognition Scheme. This scheme incorporates prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, granted in recognition of their pledge to support defence and the Armed Forces Community.

Also attending the presentation was Highland RFCA’s Regional Employer Engagement Director Ray Watt.

He said: “We are delighted that AV8 has received an ERS Bronze Award. The company is a great supporter of the Armed Forces, with many of the AV8 team having previously served. We look forward to working with AV8 in the future.”

Dunfermline-based AV8 Flight School was created by a dedicated and highly-skilled team with nearly a century of combined aviation experience. AV8 is the UK’s leading drone training provider.
