Community-focused Army cadets from Kyle of Lochalsh organised a collection of food and toiletries to support communities in need over the Christmas period.

The cadets from 1st Battalion the Highlander’s Kyle detachment made a donation of food parcels to the Trussell Trust food bank in Dingwall. Instead of normal training the detachment spent their last night of 2018 putting together parcels consisting of food, toiletries and other basic necessities in order to hand them out to those who need them most.

The cadets’ food donations from the local community.

Kyle Detachment Commander Sergeant Instructor Paul Diss-Evans (53) said: “We hope that by caring and sharing we have helped others enjoy their Christmas time a wee bit more.”
