Cadets of Robert Gordon’s College CCF braved snow and ice to cover two laps of the school’s cross country course on December 17 for charity.

They were participating once again in Walking With The Wounded’s Walking Home For Christmas Challenge.

This excellent annual event “supports work across mental health, employment, volunteering and care, empowering ex-military and their families who are in a downward spiral to thrive once more”.

Almost £400 was raised for the charity and the cadets thoroughly enjoyed being out in the stunning winter sunshine.

The morning concluded with well-deserved hot chocolate and mincemeat pies in the pavilion.

Thanks are due to Pipe Major Jason Sumner and other RGC CCF staff who organised and supervised the fun.
