Cadets from 1st Battalion the Highlanders’ Ardersier Detachment spent an evening as budding investigators during a visit to Inverness Police Station.
The Moray Company cadets visited the Burnett Road Police Station on 24 October to learn more about the work of Police Scotland in their local community.
The visit was organised as part of the Cadet and the Community section of the cadet training syllabus, which aims to promote citizenship and develop better individuals in the future.
During the visit the detachment had a look round the station, where they took part in a police line-up, as well as getting to try on some of the police equipment.
The evening also saw the cadets testing their investigative skills by gathering fingerprints from ‘suspects’ – each other.
Of course no visit would be complete without a trip to the cells with – thankfully – the cadets released a short time later for good behaviour!
