Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Aberdeenshire recently visited 2nd Battalion The Highlanders’ Cadet Training Centre (CTC) at Boddam.
Mr Sandy Manson was there to present the new Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet – Cadet Sergeant Malyssa Collis – with her certificate (pictured, above).

During this time she will assist the Lord-Lieutenant in his duties as the Queen’s appointed representative for Aberdeenshire and will also act as an ambassador for cadets and young people in the Lieutenancy.
The Lord-Lieutenant’s visit also saw him present the Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service to the Battalion Commandant, Colonel Gordon Rae.
There was also an unannounced promotion for Lt ‘Charlie’ Thom who was promoted to the rank of Captain.
