Highland RFCA organised a drinks tasting and networking event hosted by Armed Forces Covenant Signatory and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award holder The Dundee Gin Company Ltd.
The event was held at The Vine meeting space in Dundee’s West End with Dundee Gin Founder Peter Menzies guiding participants through a variety of beverages.
The social evening allowed guests from a range of local organisations including the University of Dundee, Abertay University, and DLR Media to discuss the value to business of supporting Armed Forces Reserves and Cadets.
All three organisations have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. In addition Abertay University is an ERS Gold Award holder; the University of Dundee is an ERS Silver Award holder; and DLR Media is an ERS Bronze Award holder.
Among the attendees was Ozzy Rego of DLR Media.
He said: “Thank you for a wonderful networking evening at The Vine. It was a pleasure to attend the event with such amazing people. A memorable time indeed.”
Dr Margi Vilnay, of the University of Dundee, who made valuable connections with the Abertay University attendees, said: “Thank you so much for organising such a brilliant event – we had an amazing time.”
Attending for Highland RFCA were Regional Employer Engagement Directors Roy McLellan and Ray Watt, supported by Employer Engagement Administrative Officer Hayley Munro.
