A cadet from Ardersier has added an extra qualification to her CV after completing one of the many free qualifications the Army Cadet Force offers.

Cadet Corporal Daniela Rusmane (16), from 1st Battalion the Highlander’s Ardersier Detachment, recently completed her BTEC Level 1 in Teamwork, Personal Skills and Citizenship.

The qualification completed through the Army Cadet’s own qualification authority – Cadet Vocational Qualification Organisation – is equivalent to an SCQF Level 4 with the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The internationally-recognised qualification builds life skills in leadership, teamwork, communications, problem-solving and fitness and is free to complete.

There was no extra work required for Daniela to achieve her qualification, all she had to do was complete her One Star Cadet Training and then fill in an application to be enrolled onto CVQO for her cadet training to be formally recognised by the organisation.

Cpl Rusmane was presented with her certificates by the Battalion’s Commandant Colonel Mike MacDonald (pictured above).
