An Army Cadet Force Adult Volunteer from Elgin has had their efforts in keeping morale up within the Battalion recognised.
Staff Sergeant Instructor Graeme Wells (29), who volunteers with 1st Battalion The Highlanders Army Cadet Force, was presented with a Colonel Cadets Coin for Excellence for keeping the cadet force in the spotlight during lockdown.
SSI Wells, who is the Battalion’s Public Relations Officer as well as the Detachment Commander of the cadets in Elgin, was nominated to receive a coin for his hard work in keeping the Battalion in the spotlight on Social Media and in the press.
This helped to promote and highlight good news stories of what cadets and adults had been achieving over the last 18 months throughout the pandemic.
The Colonel Cadets Coin for Excellence is awarded by Colonel Cadets 51 Brigade and is awarded to recipients, either cadet, adult volunteer or supporter who might not normally receive recognition for their efforts.
Moray Company Commander, Major Raymond Cameron (pictured), presented Graeme with his coin in front of cadets at his detachment in Elgin.
