Highland RFCA Regional Employer Engagement Director Ray Watt visited Inverness Chamber of Commerce on 25 January.
He travelled to the Highland Capital to renew HRFCA’s membership of the Chamber.
The event at Metropolitan House saw Chamber Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Events Paula Nicol present the renewal certificate to Ray (pictured, above). The presentation was unusual as Ray is usually the one presenting Armed Forces Covenant and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award certificates to employers across the Highlands, and not usually on the receiving end.
The event marks the restart of a working relationship between Highland RFCA and the Chamber. This will enable Ray to engage on behalf of Defence with the 300-plus organisations who are members of the Chamber.
Ray said: “Highland RFCA will be working with Inverness Chamber of Commerce to build better relationships between Defence and the local community. We’re excited to join the Chamber and look forward to connecting with other members, to explore the ways Highland businesses can support the Armed Forces and how they can benefit from that partnership.”
The Chamber is an Armed Forces Covenant signatory and Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award holder. It signed the Covenant in 2018 and received the Bronze Award in 2021.
Many thanks to Events Manager Kara Falconer for supplying the pictures.
