The Army Engagement Team was at Perth Racecourse last night to update a packed audience of over 100 on what the Army is currently up to and how it’s adapting to ongoing changes.
Guests included the Lord-Lieutenant of Perth & Kinross, Brigadier MS Jameson CBE, Lord Lyon Dr Joseph J Morrow QC, and Sheriff of Tayside Central and Fife, Mr William Wood.
Other notable attendees included Ms Ranjana Salins, Information Development Officer for Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Services, Ms Diane Gaffney, HR manager at Live Action Leisure, and Mr Gregor Whyte, Director of Highland dress suppliers Margaret Morrison Ltd.
The audience enjoyed an informative briefing on the Army in Scotland, current operations and the role of reservists.
Cpl Ana Laverkau of the Adjutant General’s Corps explained the important contribution that reserves make to the civilian workforce and the skills they gain.
The 4 May presentation was followed by a lively Q&A session and buffet supper, which provided plenty of opportunity for further discussion.
