HRFCA Chief Executive Brigadier Mark Dodson recently met with Andrew Bowie, Member of Parliament for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine.
Mr Bowie – who used to be in the Royal Navy and has a close connection to our Armed Forces – said: “It was great to learn about the work HRFCA do supporting Reserve and Cadet units across the North and North East of Scotland.”
He is keen to support the work of the Association, particularly in respect of the important role in society played by the cadet organisations and their adult volunteers.
Mr Bowie (pictured left) served as an officer in the Navy for three years, a career that took him around the world to Brazil, Bahrain, Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands. His duties back home included work for the ceremonial events commemoration team.
