Three new Armed Forces Covenant signatories and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze winners have received certificates recognising their support to the Armed Forces community.
From 6-7 June Highland RFCA REED Roy McLellan made presentations to Kongsberg Maritime Ltd, Gogar Services Ltd, and Hold Fast Elite Ltd.
The Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) is a commitment to support the country’s service personnel wherever and however an organisation can. To date more than 10,000 organisations have shown their support.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Awards encourage employers to support Defence and inspire others to do the same. The prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards are for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to Defence and the Armed Forces community, and align their values with the Covenant.
Roy made the presentation to Kongsberg at its Dalgety Bay office. Receiving the Awards were Rob Anthony (Senior Vice President – Global Supply), Alex Jessop (Project Manager) and Julie Watt (HR Manager).
Norwegian headquartered Kongsberg Maritime is an international corporation and world leader in marine technology.
Roy visited Gogar Services Ltd at its office in Blairlogie, Stirlingshire, to present Alistair Snowie (Owner) and Stuart Banks (General Manager) with AFC and ERS certificates. Gogar is a market leader in transport, storage and waste solutions.
Next, Roy headed for the Willowgate Activity Centre at Kinfauns, Perth, to meet with Hold Fast Elite owner Rob Hinton at his offices there. Hold Fast Elite is an outdoor fitness challenge business based on the Royal Navy’s Mine Clearance and Bomb Disposal Divers surface training.
