After 42 years of service with the Army Cadet Force, Sergeant Major Instructor Dougie Mackie has polished his marching boots for the last time.
At a recent ceremony in the Portsoy Detachment to mark his retirement, SMI Mackie handed over the Detachment keys to the new Detachment Commander Adult Under Officer Rogalski.
SMI Mackie was then presented with some retirement gifts.
SMI retires with the grateful thanks of all in 2nd Battalion The Highlanders ACF who had the privilege of serving with him.
