Robert Gordon’s College Combined Cadet Force (CCF) marked the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III with a parade on 9 May.
More than 100 cadets, pipers and drummers participated. Prominence was given to the younger members as most seniors were, understandably, absent due to the SQA exams. All acquitted themselves admirably, with the turnout and the music being of a very high standard.
Rev Louis Kinsey QVRM TD VR officiated, with the emphasis on service to others. Rev Kinsey served as an Army padre, seeing service during Op Telic, Op Herrick and in Kenya.
Commemorative coronation pin badges were distributed to all on parade by Chair of Governors Kevin Reynard, Head of College Robin Macpherson and Head of the Junior School Sarah Webb.
The College is extremely grateful to Drum Major Scott Black for heading up this significant event.
