Bronze Award for Cornerstone

23.11.2022

Cornerstone Community Care has received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award.

Highland RFCA Regional Employer Engagement Director (REED) Ray Watt visited Cornerstone in Glasgow on November 17. He presented the ERS Bronze Award to HR Lead Louise Dickson and Recruitment Administrator Júlia Pechlof.

The Bronze Award is in recognition of the support the leading Scottish social care charity gives to the Armed Forces.

Cornerstone had previously signed the Armed Forces Covenant in March 2022. The Covenant is a commitment to ensure those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

The Covenant sets companies on the path to have their pledge recognised through the Employer Recognition Scheme. This scheme incorporates the prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, granted in recognition of their pledge to support Defence and the Armed Forces Community.

Cornerstone provides great care and support to people with a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and complex care needs, to live the best possible life. Their focus is to encourage social inclusion, reduce loneliness, and improve health, independence and wellbeing. To find out more, click HERE.
