Reach Subsea UK Limited was presented with the Armed Forces Covenant and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award on 26 February.

Established in 2008, Reach Subsea is a company with a comprehensive knowledge of subsea operations. It is known and respected for world-class engineering and state of the art remotely-operated underwater vehicles (ROV). The company is headquartered in Haugesund, Norway. It also has onshore personnel working in Oslo, Bergen, Harstad, Stavanger, Houston, Aberdeen, Singapore and Trinidad & Tobago.
Reach Subsea UK Limited first signed the Armed Forces Covenant in September 2023. By signing the Covenant, Reach Subsea UK Limited has become one of 11,500+ organisations to pledge support to the Armed Forces community.
Its commitment to honouring the Covenant includes pledges to:
- Promote the fact it is an Armed Forces-friendly organisation.
- Support the employment of Veterans.
- Support the employment of Service spouses and partners.
- Endeavour to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment.
- Support employees who choose to be members of the Reserve Forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible.
- Offer support to local cadet units.
- Aim to actively participate in Armed Forces Day.
Reach Subsea UK Limited also received the ERS Bronze Award. The ERS Awards encourage employers to support Defence and inspire others to do the same. The prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards are for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to Defence and the Armed Forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
Managing Director Alastair McKie said: “We are pleased to announce that Reach Subsea UK has been presented with both the Armed Forces Covenant and the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award. As our company continues to grow, we look forward to working towards achieving ERS Silver and Gold Awards.”
He added: “We are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation and endeavour to encourage and assist in any way we can.”
