Binn Group ERS Bronze Award signing.

HRFCA Regional Employer Engagement Director Ray Watt visited Perthshire-based Binn Group on November 17 to present them with their Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award.

Ray presented the Bronze to a delighted Stewart Smith (pictured above, right), Operations Director of Binn Group, at Binn Farm in Glenfarg, the organisation’s HQ.

The firm – which is Scotland’s leading recycling and resource management company – had previously signed the Armed Forces Covenant in June. The Covenant is a commitment to ensure those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

The Covenant sets companies on the path to have their pledge recognised through the Employer Recognition Scheme.

This scheme incorporates prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, granted in recognition of their pledge to support defence and the Armed Forces Community.

To find out how you can support the Armed Forces, contact HRFCA’s Regional Employer Engagement Directors Roy McLellan at [email protected], or Ray Watt at [email protected].

Family run Binn Group has more than 20 years of expertise, and is a people centred business, with over 140 employees. Its 62-acre Binn Ecopark, processes up to 200,000 tonnes of material each year, with a recycling rate in excess of 90%. They are proud to support the community in which they are based.
