Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce hosted a Launch & Showcase event on 21 September at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel in Clydebank.
The event – which attracted 100 guests and partners – was held in partnership with Highland RFCA and Amazon, showcasing the ChamberFORCE programme.
It gave the guests and partners an opportunity to enjoy an evening of connection, information and celebration. It also saw the official launch of Dunbartonshire Chamber’s new brand identity, website, new member benefits and services. Partners and members were able to showcase their brands, products, and services.
Guests also had the opportunity to explore the Golden Jubilee’s facilities and recent refurbishments while connecting with the Golden Jubilee team who have committed to expanding their network of local suppliers. The event saw the appointment of new Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce President Mary Ann Smith. She takes over from Stewart Rennie.
Reservists from the British Army and Royal Navy attended the event to explain the benefits to employer organisations of employing Reservist and supporting the Armed Forces community.
The Golden Jubilee’s chefs provided street food and mocktails for guests to sample.
ChamberFORCE is a partnership between selected Chambers of Commerce in Scotland and their local Navy, Army and RAF units, designed to bring tangible benefits to Chamber members and to Defence. The founding Chambers of Commerce have all signed the Armed Forces Covenant and achieved Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Awards: Fife Chamber of Commerce, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, Moray Chamber of Commerce and Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce.
Amazon is the official corporate sponsor of ChamberFORCE, providing funding to enable the participating stakeholders to deliver advocacy for Defence.
NHS Golden Jubilee and Amazon are also Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award holders and, as such, are both fantastic advocates for Defence.
