Fochabers business signs Covenant

20.12.2022

Helen Williamson Financial Planning has become the latest signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant.

Highland RFCA Regional Employer Engagement Director (REED) Ray Watt visited Helen in Fochabers on December 15. He presented the Armed Forces Covenant to Principal/Financial Planner Helen Williamson (pictured).

Helen Williamson Financial Planning joins the 9,000+ UK organisations to have already signed the Covenant. It is a pledge to recognise the value serving personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to business and our country.

Helen previously spent 12 years as an officer in the Royal Air Force, giving her an insight into the challenges and benefits of service. Her goal is to help her clients achieve financial freedom.

The Covenant is a commitment to ensure those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

The organisation’s commitment to honouring the Covenant includes pledges to:

  • Promote the fact it is an Armed Forces-friendly organisation.
  • Seek to support the employment of veterans.
  • Offer to support local cadet units.
  • Aim to actively participate in Armed Forces Day.
  • Offer free financial guidance to members of the Armed Forces Community.

Signing the Covenant sets companies on the path to have their pledge recognised through the Employer Recognition Scheme. This scheme incorporates prestigious Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, granted in recognition of their pledge to support defence and the Armed Forces Community.
