Signings at the double in Elgin

15.11.2018

Ordered Company and SFB Consulting Group have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a commitment to supporting the UK’s Armed Forces community however they can.

The companies hosted a joint signing event in Elgin on 12 November and join more than 3000 UK organisations who have now officially pledged their support.

Claire Beckley and Lt Col Matt Sheldrick with Ordered Company’s Armed Forces Covenant.

Ordered Company’s Managing Director Claire Beckley signed their copy of the document and Managing Director Marie Johnstone signed on behalf of SFB Consulting Group Ltd. Both documents were co-signed on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) by Lieutenant Colonel Matt Sheldrick, Commanding Officer of 7 Scots.

Both organisations’ commitment to honouring the Covenant includes pledges to:

  • Promote the fact that it is an Armed Forces-friendly organisation.
  • Seek to support employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including by accommodation their training and deployment where possible.
  • Aim to actively participate in Armed Forces Day.
  • Endeavour to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment.
  • Offer a discount to members of the Armed Forces community.

Marie Johnstone signed on behalf of SFB Consulting Group Ltd, with Lt Col Sheldrick co-signing on behalf of Defence.

The Covenant signings were organised by Highland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association and attended – along with the signatories – by the organisation’s Regional Employer Engagement Director Michelle McKearnon.

Michelle said: “I am delighted both Ordered Company and SFB have formally pledged their commitment to the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. Their support demonstrates that no organisation is too small to support the Armed Forces community and we at HRFCA are very much looking forward to working with them via the Employer Recognition Scheme.”

Ordered Company specialises in data protection compliance and has been growing steadily since being founded in 2016. The company prides itself on having a genuine commitment towards, and a true passion for, data protection compliance. With MD Claire Beckley being a military spouse, this commitment and passion extends to supporting the Armed Forces community.

SFB Consulting Group is a UK-wide sales and marketing agency. It works with a variety of businesses across many sectors and also builds strong relationships with entrepreneurs. SFB prides itself on creating bespoke strategic plans.

Following the signing SFB was presented with an Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award. The ERS awards encourage employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The Bronze, Silver and Gold awards are for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the Armed Forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

Marie Johnstone holds the Bronze Award alongside Lara Mackay, Business Support Manager at Moray Chamber of Commerce.
